The Parry Sound SMART Community continues to move forward. Over the past few weeks, projects have been awarded funding in Muskoka, with WPS SMART not included in any of the announcements. Chair of WPS SMART Liz McWalter explains that so far they have only applied to one fund.
McWalter explains that the mostly volunteer group is working hard to look into the best opportunities for funding.
However, McWalter says when it comes to the internet part, they are ‘shovel ready’.
McWalter says the WPS SMART initiative is a long term project that will be a value to the community both socially and economically and the possibility to create hundreds of new jobs.
