There will be no speed change on Highway 518. Seguin councillor Dale Grave requested that staff ask for a study to be done on the stretch of Highway from Highway 400 to Carruthers Road by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario. The Ministry responded by saying that the speed limit should remain at 80km/h but they will install more signs and implied that there will be increased police presence to ensure vehicles aren’t speeding. Council had no choice last night but to accept the report.
