The town of Kearney has received a massive amount of money to fix their roads. $1.2 million has been funded by the Conservative Government ‘s Gas Tax Fund to area’s like highway 518. Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement says this new infrastructure plan is about giving back to municipalities .
Clement says it’s up to the municipalities to pick and choose which area’s will need repairs.
The Gas Tax Fund has pumped close to $20 million into the region since 2006.
