First, Mayor and council will hear a deputation about preventative plans for taxpayers, roads, power outages, dead tree removal and protocol for weekend staff and a deputation from the Parry Sound and Area Chamber of Commerce about a loan. On the agenda is a report update of the Municipal Policing Options and a response from the Ministry of Transportation Ontario to a request for speed limit reduction on Highway 518. Also on the agenda is a zoning by-law to amend the Ontario Camp For the Deaf to allow close to 64 hectares to be changed from Rural Zone to Camping Establishment Zone to allow for non-motorized off-road vehicles and outdoor recreational activities and additionally about 6 hectares within the lands to be used for a Motorized Vehicle Rock Crawl Competition. The meeting will take place in the council chambers of the township office in Humphrey at 4:30pm.
