Emergency services north of Parry Sound are urging motorists to watch for wildlife. Monday night, a van with six people struck and killed a moose at around 9:40pm north of Harris Lake Road with two passengers being sent to West Parry Sound Health Centre with minor injuries. It was the third van to hit a moose on the Highway this month and Britt and Area Fire Department says all three have happened between 9:30pm and 10:00pm at night. Drivers are being asked to slow down and pay close attention to the road while driving, be sure to not drive past your headlights and to scan the sides of the road for wildlife.
