The Town of Parry Sound has accepted the EMS Operational Review and will implement one recommendation immediately. At last night’s meeting, council asked Director of Emergency and Protective Services Dave Thompson to summarize the report in which he said it found our district EMS to be soundly deployed in achieving solid system performance results. There were three significant recommendations given and Thompson describes one of them concerning the deployment situation in Argyle.
Council voted in favour of a direction for the Director to engage all stakeholders in order to implement this recommendation immediately. Thompson then describes another recommendation regarding the location of the Pointe Au Baril Nursing Station.
And the third recommendation concerning nighttime deployment.
The final two recommendations will be considered through the EMS budget for 2016.
