McDougall staff looking into government funds for “The Link”

McDougall staff will be looking into any funding available from the province to complete the Link to Parry Sound.  At Wednesday night’s meeting council directed staff to look into whether funding applications are out from the $25 million dollars the provincial government is investing in cycling infrastructure.  Councillor Kim Dixon mentioned that it would also be good to get the Town of Parry Sound to apply to the same program as the entire project could have more weight if both municipalities are working together.  The proposed link would see a separate bike lane connecting Nobel Road with Parry Sound Drive which both the Town of Parry Sound and Municipality of McDougall have supported in principal.
