MP encouraging local organizations to apply to the Enabling Accessibility Fund

Local organizations are being encouraged to submit their projects for consideration under the newly launched Enabling Accessibility Fund.  Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement put the call out last week for local organizations to apply for funding for projects that will help improve accessibility in community facilities.  Several local projects have been approved through the fund in recent years, including $10,000 for beach change facilities in Nobel, $50,000 for a wheelchair accessible waterpark at a camp for the deaf in Rosseau, and $14,600 for washroom upgrades for the Town of Parry Sound.  Proposals can involve a wide variety of projects with priority to projects that enhance access for children, veterans, or seniors with disabilities.  The deadline for submissions is April 27, 2015 and a link to the applications can be found at our website www.myparrysoundnow.com.
