Speed, weather, and position all factors in snowmobile death

Police say speed was one of the factors in the death of a snowmobiler in Carling Township.  West Parry Sound OPP have continued to investigating the crash that happened Tuesday afternoon on OFSC Trail 400 near 408 and say it was snowing heavily at the time and the victim was following the lead snowmobile.  Officers conclude that the driver left the trail and struck a tree and cite speed, weather, and that the 31-year-old driver was the second of two snowmobiles which affected the operator’s visibility as factors in the collision.  Tara Henderson was taken to West Parry Sound Health Centre by Parry Sound EMS after the crash and was later pronounced dead
