Innovative small and medium-sized businesses can get funding through a Northern Ontario organization. Innovation Initiatives Ontario North received $50,000 in funding on Monday through the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program. Entrepreneurial Outreach Coordinator Emily Ryan explains who is eligible to access this funding.
Ryan says they are excited to receive the funding for the second time.
She says one of those 16 projects was a local company from Seguin.
The I-I-O-N’s mandate is to help innovative businesses who use Canadore College’s Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Production facility in North Bay or the Materials Joining Innovation Centre in Kirkland Lake.
