Easter weekend OPP blitz ends in charges for a number of drivers

A number of Parry Sound drivers are now facing charges following an OPP blitz. The West Parry Sound detachment was on the roads over the long weekend, and laid over 150 charges. The police were on the lookout for seatbelt use, and charged four people for not buckling up, or using a seatbelt improperly.

Over 150 other charges were laid, mainly for speeding. The police laid 26 more charges this Easter weekend than in the 2016 long weekend blitz.
