The Parry Sound Islanders came out of the gate with a goal about 8 minutes into the first period against the Niagara Whalers last night, but it was the only time they would light the red light as the Whalers scored 7 unanswered goals to take game one of the Russell Cup Finals 7-1. Game 2 is on the road Friday night, with the teams returning to Parry Sound Saturday night for game three at the BOCC. Milan Prusek had the lone Islanders goal.
