Two Biosphere Reserves in Canada will be on display in Parry Sound tonight.
An eight-part documentary series titled Striking Balance spent two years exploring Canada’s Biosphere Reserves, including the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve. Tonight is the launch of the series with the screening of the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve episode and the episode from Clayoquot Sound, BC episode for free beginning at 7:00pm at the Stockey Centre.
Producer Yvonne Drebert says the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve episode shows how well our local organization balances environmental conservation and economic prosperity.
Director Zach Melnick says our Biosphere Reserve is doing very well to strike that balance .
The documentary series will also be shown on TVO beginning on October 4th.
