The first weekend of the OHL season kicked off with local teams in action. On Friday night, The Barrie Colts edged Kingston 2-1, the North Bay Battalion lost to Niagara 3-1, the Sudbury Wolves got by Oshawa 4-3, and the Owen Sound Attack fell to Sarnia 3-2. On Saturday it was the Attack losing their second straight game 2-0 to Flint. Sunday saw the Colts beat Ottawa 7-5 and the Wolves fall to Mississauga 6-1.
