MNR firefighters getting a break following control of Algonquin Park fire

A fair-sized forest fire in Algonquin Park is now under control.

At its height, the fire grew to 48 hectares.

Crews with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry used infrared scans to make sure there are no hot spots at the site.

A smaller fire in Algonquin Park that broke out Saturday is already out.
