No injuries have been reported from an early morning fire in Parry Sound. West Parry Sound OPP and Parry Sound Fire Department were called to an apartment fire on Great North Road just after 2:30am Saturday morning. Residents from the apartment building were cleared out and there were no injuries while Victim Crisis Assistance and Referral Service (VCARS) and the Salvation Army are assisting with the displaced families. Police say the fire is not suspicious and the investigation into the cause is ongoing. Great North Road was closed while the fire was being extinguished and was re-opened later that morning.
