A float plane has sunk in Robert’s Lake near the airport. West Parry Sound OPP was called around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon when a float plane was seen sinking on the lake beside the Parry Sound and Area Municipal Airport. Cottagers told police they saw the plane try to take off, but it tipped over into the water. The pilot, a plane mechanic, was uninjured and picked up by a local resident before police, EMS, and Seguin Fire arrived. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified.
