Another successful fundraiser has been held in Parry Sound. Over the weekend, over 250 riders from across the globe cycled on the beautiful roads of Parry Sound creating awareness and raising funds for Parkinson’s disease. With money still coming in, this year’s total will be over $180,000 bringing the grand total since inception to over $700,000. The amount of donations has made Pedaling for Parkinson’s the largest single site fundraiser for Parkinson’s Canada, in the entire country. All of the funds go directly into the Pedaling for Parkinson’s Research Grant, which is awarded to researchers investigating better treatments or potential cures for Parkinson’s.
