The residents of Rosseau have spoken and the library isn’t going anywhere for now

The Rosseau Library isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.  At last night’s Seguin council meeting held in the Rosseau Memorial Community Hall, over 60 residents came out to voice their concerns of the proposed library move to the Ruth Dare Wellness Centre.  There were seven people who spoke at the meeting all in favour of keeping the library at the memorial hall for a number of reasons including the location at the centre of the settlement, its history, and how moving it to the wellness centre would displace much needed health programs for the community.  After the public meeting, council voted unanimously to rescind their decision to move the library made on March 21st and consider the library as part of the memorial hall renovation project.
