It was a very successful weekend of fundraising in the Parry Sound area. On Friday and Saturday, over 35 riders took part in the 7th annual Trax4 Breast Cancer ATV ride in Seguin and raised $75,000 towards the Kelly Shires Foundation. On Saturday, youth ball hockey players took to the parking lot at Kinsmen Park for the annual Mosey and Mosey Ball Hockey tournament and raised $15,000 towards the $20,000 needed to install the patient internet at West Parry Sound Health Centre to ensure patient care is not compromised. Then on Sunday, hundreds of people came out for the Hike for Hospice event which raised over $24,000 toward Hospice West Parry Sound to provide palliative care in our community.
