Ontario investing in energy retrofits for low-income housing in the Parry Sound district

Low-income housing in the Parry Sound district is getting funding from the province for energy retrofits.  The province continues to put its new Climate Change Strategy into action by investing close to $29,000 in social housing retrofits through the Parry Sound District Social Services Administration Board.  Retrofits will include installing energy-efficient heating systems, appliances, hot water tanks, lighting, windows and insulation.  The funding comes from the province’s Green Investment Fund which is spending $10 million across the province to improve electrical efficiency in single-family homes, reducing costs for low-income Ontarians and generating local jobs.
