Fluoride will stop being added to the drinking water in Parry Sound and McDougall

Parry Sound and McDougall have voted to stop adding fluoride to the drinking water.  At last night’s meeting, McDougall passed a by-law to discontinue adding fluoride to the drinking water which was the final step in the process.  Mayor Dale Robinson says by passing the by-law, council wasn’t taking sides on the fluoride debate, but following a democratic process to the end.  The Municipality surveyed the 300 users of the water system where two thirds of respondents wanted the fluoride removed.  Now that both McDougall and the Town of Parry Sound have passed a by-law to stop adding fluoride to the drinking water, it will stop going into the system tomorrow at noon.
