Volunteers needed to help refugee family when they arrive in Parry Sound

With most of the preliminary work done, West Parry Sound Refugee Program is looking for volunteers.  As donations continue to come in, the group is now looking for members of the community to help prepare for the daily living requirements, before and during the stay of the refugees in our community.  A house has been secured for the family to live in and volunteers are needed to help furnish the home.  Volunteers are also needed to help transport the family to needed places like the grocery store, hospital, and school.  To assist with furniture contact Judy Kovacs at 705-746-9268 or by email at [email protected].  Anyone wanting to help in any other way can contact Laura Robinson at 705-745-6428 or by email at [email protected].  The details are still being worked out as to when the family will be arriving.
