Another debate on fluoride at Parry Sound town council meeting

It was another packed council meeting to discuss fluoride in our drinking water.  Health Unit Medical Officer of Health Dr. Jim Chirico spoke to council to further support the Town’s decision to continue adding fluoride to the municipal supply.

Andrea McIntyre represented Parry Sounders for Progressive Water Management to once again oppose putting fluoride in the town’s drinking water and instead look to alternatives.

One resident, Scott Gilson spoke to council about how this decision comes down to choice.

Another resident, Bob Farrell also got up and challenged council to hold a referendum on the issue.

Mayor McGarvey responded to his challenge.

The meeting was another packed house with council chambers split in half for and against continue to put fluoride in the municipal supply.
