Leaving a camping trailer on Crown land too long can be costly

The owner of a trailer set up on Crown land for over three month has been fined.  The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry got a complaint on July 26th about the trailer being setup on Diamond Lake in Seguin for more than the allowable three weeks and officers found it had been set up since June 26th.  Officers contacted the owner of the trailer on August 4th and asked him to move it, but found the trailer still set up on August 29th.  The owner, a Barrie man, pled guilty to unlawfully depositing a trailer on Crown land in a Parry Sound court late last month and was fined $1000.
