A tentative deal has been reached between our local school board and high school teachers. The Near North District School Board announced yesterday that a tentative local collective agreement effective to August 31, 2017 was reached with Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation District #4 Teachers and Occasional Teachers. The details of the agreement will not be released until the agreement is ratified by both parties, which will take place later this month. At the provincial table, a central agreement was ratified for Teachers and Occasional Teachers between their union and the Government of Ontario on September 18th.
