Captain Janine Miller becomes the 20th Commanding Officer of the 295 MacPherson Squadron

The 259 MacPherson Squadron have a new Captain.  On Tuesday September 29th, staff, volunteers and the cadets of 295 MacPherson Squadron gathered at the BOCC for their Change of Command ceremony.  Captain David Coles, who has been in command of the Air Cadet Squadron since 2011, turned over command to Captain Janine Miller.  Captain Miller completed her final course in order to be Captain over the weekend and explains why she chose to do it.

The Change of Command ceremony is supposed to happen every three years, but an extension was granted to give Captain Miller time to prepare and Captain Coles was happy to pass the torch.

Captain Coles explains one of the many highlights of his four years as Captain.

As well as the Change of Command, the squadron also honoured Flight Sergeant Mason Timson and Flight Sergeant Sarah Coles for their four years of service with the squadron.
