Police want everyone to have a safe Labour Day long weekend

For the final long weekend of the summer, police want everyone to do their part to be safe.  The West Parry Sound OPP is asking drivers to be focused while driving during one of the year’s busiest weekends with one of the main objectives is to slow traffic down and prevent unnecessary collisions.  Another focus point for officers will be impaired driving which remains the leading criminal cause of death in Canada.  When heading out to the cottage or fishing trip this Labour Day Weekend, please remember that Personal Flotation Devices can save lives, not only for children but for adults as well.  Police will be patrolling to make our highways and waterways, collision, injury and death free and hope everyone does their part to have a safe and enjoyable Labour Day Weekend.
